Our workshops are built on a solid foundation of 23 years as a Registered Nurse across a number of disciplines, including working with people affected by Domestic Violence / Family Harm, and Sexual Violence. Tee has also been involved in Emergency Management and Response for 18 years in various roles including as a firefighter - now Station Officer; this experience has provided fantastic tools to add to the toolbox for the work that we do. The models and strategies that we use, are robust and can be applied to any situation - they are able to transfer across to other work and spaces; such as the M.A.N.E.R.S model in Psychological Wellbeing and Psychological First Aid - this model threads through all our Wellbeing workshops.
Tee is currently in the final stages of a Masters Degree in Health Practice majoring in Violence & Trauma Studies
Personal lived experience is also foundational to our workshops, as a survivor of Childhood Abuse and Neglect secondary to Domestic Violence / Family Harm, an adult survivor of Intimate Partner Violence, coercive control and entrapment, physical and emotional violence, financial control and abuse, and sexual violence, Tee has developed workshops to improve understanding of the impacts on those affected by Domestic Violence / Family Harm - and vitally - how we in the health field, can recognise and support families affected by Domestic Violence / Family Harm.
We work from a foundation of holistic (bio-psychosocial) health and wellbeing - the health and wellbeing impacts across the lifespan of historic trauma or acute stress, domestic violence / family harm, sexual harm. and toxic on chronic trauma and stressors, these don't happen in a vacuum and the physio-emotional impacts can be significantly deleterious to health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
We can help you to understand what Psychological Trauma looks like, what Domestic Violence / Family Harm is, and the effect of intimate partner violence on those affected by the violence and abuse. We look at the legislative changes over the decades and what the current legislation provides for. And we can and will help you to understand the physio-emotional impacts of toxic on chronic trauma and stressors - what this does to our bodies, to our minds, to our whanau, to our self belief, plus more
At Magenta Blue Ltd, we are driven to meet the Te Aorerekura National Strategy to Eliminate Family and Sexual Violence in Aotearoa New Zealand!

HEALTH AND WELLBEING COACHING
Health and wellbeing coaching focuses on supporting people to make lasting improvements in their health and wellbeing, and therefore, quality of life.
By working with a coach, clients can develop customised plans, set achievable goals, and receive guidance and support throughout their journey.
Some key areas include stress management, nutrition, exercise, sleep, work-life balance, and personal growth.
Silence is a pervasive effect within Family Harm or Domestic Violence, there are many reasons for the silence, the most vital being that it is about 'safety', however, in maintaining the code of silence, the harm grows, the risks increase, and the long term impacts across the lifespan on children and the survivors of family harm/domestic violence can be catastrophic. To understand more about Breaking the code of silence, see our page 'Breaking the code'.
VIOLENCE & TRAUMA
Our Mission is to help reduce the effects of Violence & Trauma, by helping to facilitate understanding and knowledge.
Te Aorerekura - the National Strategy to Eliminate Family and Sexual Violence (2021)
Sets a 'wellbeing and strengths-based vision for eliminating family and sexual violence' with a stronger focus on primary prevention, healing, and the critical role of tangata whenua and community leadership for achieving intergenerational change.
Today
A 'snippet' into what our workshops cover
Our range of Wellbeing Workshops are our response to help mitigate the effects of Trauma, whether historic, intergenerational, acute, through Domestic Violence / Family Harm, environmental and more.
Stress and Trauma, two different ends of a wide spectrum, are increasingly being used interchangeably, but they are two very different stages in a persons capacity to meet challenge and threat.
The physio-emotional response to stress and trauma are equally determined by duration, intensity, cumulation; our ability to adapt to challenging situations. Historic trauma and modern stressors are colliding and causing increasing distress in the community.
Our workshops look at the cause and effect of stress and trauma, and we cover psychological first aid, psychological wellbeing, holistic wellbeing models, and decompression techniques, and we look at the impacts of how 'happiology' is affecting our ability to engage with our emotions.
